*The Talk: Kristiane Kegelmann (pars) and Anna Paul will explore their multidisciplinary practice which spans beyond the confines set by the traditional art market. This is a prelude to their artist dinner on 18.05. 2024 as part of Anna Paul's residency at ACRE. Moderated by Anna Maja Spiess With pars Pralinen, Kristiane Kegelmann combines indulgence with sculptural texture. She comes from a master confectionary background, worked at the K. u K. Hofzuckerbäckerei Demel in Vienna, among other places, before devoting herself to the fine arts. In her practice, she juxtaposes solid, durable materials with fragile, sometimes ephemeral materials that are characterized by their flexibility or processual nature. She has been running the pars restaurant in Berlin since November 2022In her work, Anna Paul builds sculptural participatory environments that negotiate everyday rituals and the relationship between society and its products. She holds a Master of Architecture (Mag. Arch) Degree from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and currently lives and works between Vienna and Grad (Slo).
