FAIRYLAND PLAYSCAPEB2 chi K11 art space | 13 SEP - 31 OCT

Stressed with kicking off or following all things happening in this fall art season? We may all need to relax and have some real play time here in this urban oasis in Hong Kong, created by joint forces of K11 and international award-winning starchitect and artist Manfred Yuen.Drawing inspiration from the ethereal Jade Mountain in ancient Chinese legend, the ‘FAIRYLAND PLAYSCAPE’ combines practical architecture and design aesthetic with a sense of community to create an extraordinary realm featuring black and white trompe l’oeil elements under various lighting effects in the bustling chi K11 art space. Immerse yourself into this whimsical space, which encompasses all the elements of a successful park: nature, risk, solitude, sensory, inclusiveness and socializing.‘FAIRYLAND PLAYSCAPE’ is a top highlight of the 2018 Design Month at K11, which focuses on exploring the future of architecture and design with fun, innovative and adventurous elements to stimulate reflections on design as a force for better and more comfortable living through a tangible experience of the life-enriching attributes of architecture and design. What’s more alongside ‘FAIRYLAND PLAYSCAPE’? A stunning array of mini trompe l’oeil games is featured in the K11 art mall to challenge the eyes and mind of visitors, who are prompted to rethink the meaning and possibilities architectural design has.
