...hope everyone is feeling happy and content this Monday morning. Berlin is still recovering from a dense and exciting Art Week and the Art World is looking to Basel to see how the first edition of the seasoned format will fare in itsfirst edition post-global lock-downs. We are hosting a little coffee for all of you on the ground, get in touch with Mia to get the location, it's Wednesday morning 9:30 (so basically the after hour as some seasoned Basel veteran pointed out ;) Some members have presentations in the fairs from Volta, to Liste to Basel lookout for our members like Jana @pilarcorrias, Matthias @KnustKunzGallery or Anne @ARTPOWHERContemporary and surely many more, that were so busy prepping for the fair that we didn't get a heads up...Connect, dance, laugh and most of all enjoy the Art!LoveCordelia, Maja & the Girls

ARTPOWHER Contemporary is thrilled to announce its participation at VOLTA Basel 2021, staging the solo show ‘I LOVE SHARING THE BED WITH YOU’ by British-Nigerian artist Sola Olulode. This is the artists’s first exhibition in Switzerland and her first solo presentation outside of the UK. ARTPOWHER Contemporary is a collaborative art project initiative, that places focus on female-identifying and non-binary creatives in the arts. Anna Maurrasse, the Founder of ARTPOWHER Contemporary, is proud to announce the participation at VOLTA Art Fair 2021 in Basel, with the solo presentation ‘I Love Sharing The Bed With You’ by British-Nigerian artist, Sola Olulode.

Olulode is a London based artist who works across the medium of paint and textile influenced by Yoruba Adire textiles, an indigo-dyed fabric made in Nigeria by Yoruba women, using a variety of resist-dyeing techniques. The artist reinterprets images of majoritively Black Womxn expressed through diverse reflections of feminine energies, and inspired by her own identity as a queer Black woman.

For her first show in Switzerland and her first solo show outside of the UK, Olulode conceived over the last few months smaller works on paper and larger paintings on canvas, experimenting with new forms of presentation.
