2021 - Week 16
...happy Monday, once again :) Hope everyone is happy & well out there. This week we got a panel trying to answer difficult questions such as: "How much of a responsibility do the arts have to reflect the society in which they are embedded?" brought to us via Brunswick. Our friends over at Amalgama will host a five-day-long forum exploring the collaboration between art and literature as a critical component of Latin American aesthetic development with studio visits, talks, and seminars. On Friday we will head to Amsterdam for the first edition of our UNLOCKED series where we talk to the amazing Marijke and Imara about Amsterdam: A city with a long sometimes complicated history and its position as an art capital in Europe and the larger global context. We'd also like to highlight Margaret Calvert's exhibition at the Design Museum (with a lovely video tour) who gave us the amazing design of the London Underground Map (amongst other things ;) And Speaking of London: Spring has sprung on the island and while most of us dream of a gallery tour or a coffee with the gals (that plural (!) meeting more than one person at a time will be a hoot!!) London is already there. Ping our Head of London Peigi (email below) to join!Love, Cordelia, Maja & the Girls

How Creatives can create killer content across Social Media
with Hollie Hilton Thudasy, 29
April 2021
19:00 (CET)
Hollie will share tried and tested best practices when delivering creative / art-led content on social media platforms, you'll learn some things to avoid, how to speak directly to your ideal audience, and gain some actionable content ideas and tips to help you increase your engagement online.
Hollie Hilton is a Freelance Social Media Strategist and Digital Content Producer who works exclusively with Artists and Art-led businesses such as galleries, grassroots organisations, tech start-ups, and charities, to help create compelling digital content that reaches new audiences. She also writes and hosts workshops to help Artists navigate online spaces and expand their digital presence.
Her degree in History of Art and experience working in-house for a gallery’s marketing and communications team, encouraged Hollie to use her skills and contextual knowledge to make Art and Culture more accessible to audiences that are often excluded or intimidated by it, and equip Artists with skills that help them achieve greater independence in the marketing and storytelling of their work.
