After a week of deadlines, meetings, and studio visits, this is what you deserve: fresh highlights, unexpected gems, and the stories shaping the week.
Hugs and stay sane,

🇯🇵 YOSHITOMO NARA JOINS DAVID ZWIRNER
David Zwirner has announced representation of Yoshitomo Nara, marking a major shift for the beloved Japanese artist known for his wide-eyed, rebellious characters. The partnership comes via Nara’s international agent, Joe Baptista, who until earlier this year was a partner at Pace Gallery (Nara’s longtime representative). Zwirner is set to debut a new Nara exhibition at its New York space, cementing one of the most talked-about moves in the gallery circuit this year.
💎 JEWEL HEIST AT THE LOUVRE
Paris police have arrested two men following the theft of priceless jewels from the Louvre. But while investigators work to recover the missing treasures, social media can’t stop talking about something else entirely: how handsome the alleged thieves are. Only in Paris could a crime be this stylish. Reports also revealed the Louvre’s surveillance password was — wait for it — “Louvre.”
🪙 THE $23 MILLION GOLD CUBE FACES LIQUIDATION
Remember Niclas Castello’s viral 400-pound, 24-karat gold cube that made its shiny debut in Central Park? Once billed as “not for sale,” it’s now being dragged through bankruptcy proceedings after investor Klemens Hallmann’s financial collapse. Proof that even art’s most dazzling spectacles can melt under market heat.
👜 DIOR X THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR
Jonathan Anderson just made everyone’s inner child squeal, and their wallets tremble. His latest It bag for Dior’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection is inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Expect a feeding frenzy.
📊 WOMEN & GEN Z LEAD GLOBAL COLLECTING
According to the 2025 Art Basel & UBS Survey of Global Collecting, women and Gen Z collectors are officially shaping the market. High-net-worth women spent 46% more on art, antiques and collectibles than men last year. Sneaker collecting is back, digital art is on the rise, and sculpture remains top-tier. The new generation isn’t just buying, they’re redefining what collecting looks like.
