By TheArtGorgeous, 14.03.2025
Hello, Gorgeous!

A weekly wrap up of art, fashion and pop culture
Welcome to the Friday Weekly Wrap-Up newsletter, where we explore the intersection of Art, Fashion, and Pop Culture.Hugs and stay sane,The Girls
1. Bananas, Martinis & a Dash of Madness

Toiletpaper magazine threw a surrealist feast at Fotografiska to celebrate ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska. With food artist DeadHungry and chef Christophe Buchet at the helm, guests dined on bizarre creations before ending the night with martinis and dancing. Who needs a traditional exhibition opening when you can have a fever dream of a dinner party?
2. Loewe’s Bauhaus-Inspired Collection

Loewe’s latest collection, a collaboration with the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation, fuses fashion with Bauhaus craftsmanship. Featuring loom-woven coats and screen-printed skirts, the Fall/Winter 2025 collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week, proving once again that Jonathan Anderson is the master of art-meets-fashion.
3. Goodbye Joann Fabrics

After 80 years, Joann, the American specialty retail chain specializing in fabrics and arts and crafts supplies, is shutting down over 800 stores following bankruptcy. The closure leaves thousands without jobs and artists scrambling for alternatives. Makers have taken to social media to share how the store shaped their creative journeys – a bittersweet farewell to a crafting institution.

4. Robbie Williams Gets Radically Honest

Robbie Williams unveils Radical Honesty at Moco Museum London, a bold solo exhibition exploring self-reflection, anxiety, and embracing chaos. Debuting his first sculptural works, he invites visitors to lean into life’s imperfections. Opening 25 April – and we’re curious.
5. Art in the Open: Desert X 2025

Desert X 2025 returns to California’s Coachella Valley, where 11 artists from around the world have installed site-specific works across the region’s striking desert terrain. Artistic director Neville Wakefield and co-curator Kaitlin Garcia Maestas hope the exhibition sparks reflection on the myth of untouched nature and our evolving relationship with the environment.
