3. And the Winner is… JASLEEN KAUR!

Jasleen Kaur has taken home the 2024 Turner Prize with her compelling installations that reimagine everyday objects to explore cultural memory and political belonging. This year’s #TurnerPrize, celebrating its 40th anniversary, features an exciting showcase of four artists: Pio Abad, Claudette Johnson, Delaine Le Bas, and this year’s winner, Jasleen Kaur. 4. Venice Biennale 2026 Koyo Kouoh Takes the Helm

Breaking: Koyo Kouoh will become the first African woman to the lead the 61st Venice International Art Biennale in 2026. Currently Executive Director and Chief Curator of Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town, Kouoh has championed African and diasporic identities throughout her career. She previously founded RAW Material Company in Dakar and contributed to Documenta 12 and 13. We celebrate this historic achievement and eagerly await the brilliance she’ll bring to @labiennale in 2026.

5. Model of the Year 2024: Alex Consani

Alex Consani has made history by being the first trans model to win the prestigious ‘Model Of The Year’ award from the British Fashion Council. Voted for by both an industry panel and the public, this award recognises her global impact which over the last 12 months has dominated the industry. “IM SCREAMING I WON MODEL OF YHE YEAR. Thank you so much @britishfashioncouncil and everyone that made this possible! I cant even begin to process this…” she wrote on Instagram.
