2. Ye’s Bully Album Cover Features Daido Moriyama’s Photography

The upcoming solo album Bully by Ye (formerly Kanye West) features cover art by acclaimed Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. Ye recently shared a black-and-white image on Instagram, highlighting gem-encrusted grills inspired by the Japanese custom ohaguro, which symbolizes beauty and maturity. This marks another collaboration with Japanese culture for Ye, who has been living and recording in Tokyo. Moriyama, renowned for capturing postwar Japan, brings his signature aesthetic to Ye’s third album release of the year.
3. Moncler’s City of Genius Lit Up Shanghai

Moncler’s City of Genius show in Shanghai was the ultimate fashion spectacle, attracting 8,000 guests—including celebrities like Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and Anne Hathaway. Held in a mini “city” within a former shipbuilding venue, the event unveiled a limited-edition G-Class in collaboration with Nigo, paying homage to the 90s with a removable quilted roof. The night featured ten unique creative partnerships, blending street style and futuristic elements, and showcased a capsule collection full of 90s-inspired fashion, setting the stage for what’s to come.

4. Hermès Defies Luxury Slowdown

In Q3, Hermès saw an 11% rise in sales to €3.7 billion, outpacing industry peers amid a luxury slump. Growth was driven by leather goods, ready-to-wear, and new launches like the Barénia perfume. Europe, Japan, and the Americas led the sales surge, despite slowed traffic in Paris due to the Olympics. Watches lagged behind with an 18.2% dip. Hermès’ executive chairman Axel Dumas credited the brand’s unique business model and loyal customer base for the strong performance.
