Hello, Gorgeous!

A weekly wrap up of art, fashion and pop culture

Welcome to the Friday Weekly Wrap-Up newsletter, where we explore the intersection of Art, Fashion, and Pop Culture.Hugs and stay sane,The Girls

1. Teletubbies take over

It’s time for a blast of nostalgia! The Teletubbies, everyone’s favourite colourful crew from 1997, are celebrated in the London House of Teletubbies exhibition. Artists like Jon Burgerman, Stella Lin, and Christian Cowan are reimagining Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po in playful, quirky art forms—from spray paint portraits to neon green stiletto Dipsy boots! The event promises creativity for all ages with workshops and installations. Can’t make it to London? The exhibition is going global, with stops in LA and Miami!

2. Mayo meets the runway

Anyone for chips and Mayo? From #Heinz condiments to iconic crackers, mass-market products are turning up on indie-label runways, and fashion is absurdly delicious. Designers are collaborating with unexpected brands—Heinz, Hellmann’s, and even Goldfish crackers—during this Fashion Month. Kate Barton’s Goldfish collab in New York and @ChopovaLowena’s Hellmann’s mayo bag, complete with a jar pocket at London Fashion Week, has made onlookers salivate and memes soar. Watch this space for more couture concoctions…

3. Ai Weiwei Sculpture smashed in Bologna Gallery

Ai Weiwei’s Porcelain Cube (2009) was destroyed at his exhibition opening at Palazzo Fava, Bologna. A Czech man, Vaclav Pisvejc, pushed the artwork over and raised a piece above his head before being detained. Known for past disruptive stunts, Pisvejc had previously confronted Weiwei. Despite the incident, the exhibition titled Who am I? continues, replacing the destroyed sculpture with a life-size print. The show runs until May 4, 2025.

4. Cecilie Bahnsen x The North Face: Hyper-Feminine Meets Hyper-Functional

At Paris Fashion Week, Danish designer @ceciliebahnsen is set to debut her latest collaboration with The North Face, blending her romantic aesthetic with the brand’s technical outerwear expertise. The all-black collection features Bahnsen’s delicate fabrics and embroidered details paired with The North Face’s waterproof and windproof technology. Expect reimagined classics like the Mountain Jacket and Base Camp Duffel, with prices ranging from £225 to £900. This collab showcases the perfect harmony of practicality and elegance—Scandi style at its finest.
