2. Damien Hirst’s Art Scandal: Misleading Dates Uncovered

Damien Hirst’s “The Currency” series is under scrutiny for allegedly misleading dates. A recent Guardian investigation found wrongly dated works in this series and formaldehyde animals claimed to be from the 1990s. Tune into The Guardian’s podcast “Today in Focus” here to hear journalists discuss the art world and Hirst’s recent scandal and how he attempted to backdate a few pieces to their “mental conception” dates, but it didn’t go unnoticed…

3. A New Colour Trend Has Emerged

Butter yellow is the new trending colour. Brands like Jacquemus, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, and Paloma Wool are embracing it. It’s showing up in monochromatic looks, mixed with beige, off-white, and lemon, and as a pop of colour in accessories and footwear. According to Depop, after red’s reign, softer colours like yellow are perfect for holidays, summer events, and festivals.

4. Ghanaian Toddler Becomes World’s Youngest Male Painter

A one-year-old toddler from Ghana, Ace-Liam, has become the world’s youngest male painter at just 152 days old. He received the Guinness World Record title last Monday after a five-month wait. “His paintings show someone who is intrigued about discovering things“, his mum commented. Could you paint something like this at his age?

5. “Back in the Dazed” – A Must-See Exhibition

Iconic British photographer and filmmaker Rankin transport us back to the ’90s with his new exhibition at London’s 180 Studios, now on view until 23 June. As co-founder and first Photographic Editor of Dazed & Confused Magazine, Rankin’s striking visual style defined the aesthetics of ‘Cool Britannia’. This retrospective features his iconic editorial shoots of cult celebrities including Debbie Harry and Kate Moss, Brit-pop bands, and everyday youth from his 1991-2001 archive work for Dazed magazine.
