1. Trend Alert: Yee-Haw!

Forget about Quiet Luxury; itâs time to fully embrace fringe, suede, and fedoras all day long as the western aesthetic dominates 2024. The cowgirl trend is making a powerful comeback, with celebrities such as Pharrell and BeyoncĂ© leading the charge. Even Bella Hadid and Kim Kardashian are joining in, signalling that this style is here to stay. According to @databutmakeitfashion, the average positive sentiment for cowboy hats surged by 20% in the days following BeyoncĂ©âs release of new music and album covers.
2. Teacher Faces Lawsuit Over Student Artwork Sales

A Canadian teacher and his school board face a $1.4 million lawsuit over allegations of âexploitingâ students. Artwork created by students was discovered for sale on various websites without consent. The teacherâs personal website, now directed to Fine Art America, listed the artwork for $151 each, with additional options like mugs for $41, t-shirts for $55, and phone cases for $35. Perron, who identifies as a âmultidisciplinary studio artistâ on LinkedIn, has not commented publicly. He is currently under investigation by the Montreal school board, with no further details disclosed.
3. Jeff Koonsâ Lunar Art Expedition: The Moon Phases Project

After multiple delays, Jeff Koonsâs 125 sculptures were finally sent to the moon last week from Cape Canaveral at NASAâs Kennedy Space Center in Florida as part of âThe Moon Phases Project.â The project, initially announced in 2022 and centered around a collection of NFTs, experienced several setbacks. Originally planned for July that year, the physical works were to be accompanied by NFTs available through Pace Verso, Pace Galleryâs NFT platform. Koons commented on his Instagram: âI am so honored to have âMoon Phasesâ be the first authorized artwork to be placed on the Moon.â

4. Toot-Toot

During London Fashion Week 24, SRVC Studio debuted their collection on a double decker bus, drawing inspiration from the daily commute. Creative director Ricky Wesley Harriott commented that his inspiration were his London roots and the ritual of commuting, aiming to showcase everyday clothing and empower women with a uniform that offers both style and protection. Named âHuman Resource,â the FW24 showcase celebrated commutingâs societal significance, emphasizing comfort and confidence in transit.
