1. Huge New KAWS Installation Goes Up In New York

KAWS has unveiled a new public sculpture outside of New York’s Seagram Building. The CHUM character is slouching in reference to our current state of political and social turmoil. Here’s hoping we’ll all have something to stand up straight about soon!

2. Ed Ruscha, Cindy Sherman And Friends Sell Prints To Encourage You To Vote

150 artists and photographers are participating in States of Change’s online fundraiser to encourage people to vote in the upcoming US presidential election. The prints up for grabs are priced at $150 open editions, allowing you to snag an affordable piece of art while also helping to elevate voter turnout. You can view the prints here.

3. Valentino Embraces Empathy

We could all do with a hug right now, right? Valentino is fully on board with that sentiment, as the luxury house has just launched a new campaign centred around empathy. Directed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, #ValentinoEmpathy stars models and artists including Anwar Hadid, Naomi Campbell and Tali Lennox in the homes where they are living with their loved ones. 

4.  H&M Looop Transforms Sustainable Clothes Before Your Eyes

We’re all aware of how toxic the fashion industry can be for our environment, but we do love how brands are working to become more sustainable. H&M has just launched a recycling machine called Looop in Stockholm, which will turn old clothes into new ones. All proceeds from the new/old clothes will go towards researching new materials, with H&M aiming for all of its materials to be recycled or sourced more sustainably by 2030.

5. Phillips Hosts Massive Keith Haring Selling Exhibition In Hong Kong

Keith Haring: Falling Up encompasses some of the artist’s most significant sculptures, paintings and drawings, all of which can be purchased through Phillips’ private sales. The auction house is also set to release a documentary about the artist. 

6. Michael Jackson’s Art Collection Up For Sale

In 2009 an auction of items owned by Michael Jackson was cancelled. More than ten years later, some of those objects will now be up for sale through Guernsey’s Auction House. Objects include Jackson 5 memorabilia and a gift from Elizabeth Taylor. The sale ends October 23.
